Commercial Area Rug Cleaning

We typically take area rugs back to our shop in Somonauk. This ensures that the floor underneath your area rug does not get ruined (typically hardwood) and also allows us to clean both sides of the rug, treat any pet spots, apply carpet protector, and control the dry time. When the rug is dry, we'll wrap it in plastic and schedule a delivery.

It really depends on the time of year and how busy our schedule is, but turnaround time could be about 1 week January-March and about 2 weeks April-December. We will always let you know if it's ready sooner than anticipated. If you have a specific deadline, please let us know in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate!

For commercial properties, we come out and take a look at what you're needing cleaned and provide a quote for all services you're interested in.

But if you're only interested in area rug cleaning and no other services, the quickest way is to send us a text at 815-200-5049 with the following information for an estimate:

1) Send a picture of the tag on the back corner of the area rug showing the size and fiber type.

2)Send a picture of the whole top of the area rug so we can see what it looks like.

3) Let us know if there have been any urine accidents on the rug and if/how they've been treated.

There should be a tag on the back corner of the area rug that states the size and fiber type. This is always helpful so we know for transportation of the rug and to confirm how it needs to be cleaned.

There are so many kinds of area rugs, it can be overwhelming which one to choose. Though it's easiest to choose based on the appearance, it's also recommended that you look at the fiber type so you know what you're signing up for in the long-term. Our recommendations are based on how area rugs clean up when using either a professional hot water extraction method (steam cleaning) or a professional dry cleaning method.

Nylon, Polypropylene, Polyester and Olefin are best if you have kids and pets since they clean up really well with hot water extraction.

Wool is another great one, but if you have kids or pets we don't recommend it. Wool tends to hold stains and odors since it's a natural fiber.

Cotton rugs are also nice, but again, tend to hold stains.

We cannot clean viscose, jute or other paper-like rugs and do not recommend them for this reason.

For food and drink spots and spills, we recommend Spot Out. You'll receive a sample in your good bag at the end of your cleaning and when you run out, we sell a larger size.

For pet accidents, we recommend Nature's Miracle or Furry Freshness. Neither of these will affect the carpet color or interact with our cleaning process like some store-bought products do. So try these first and if you can't get it out, give us a call for a cleaning.
